Except canceling a subscription is easy (for both parties!). Firing an employee is harder. And finance treats them differently.
You also have more than one client. If you really are consulting for just one company, you probably are legally an employee.
What if my medium enterprise needs 15 minutes of translate-this-to-french services every day, and hiring someone for 15 minutes per day isn't really a thing?
And (at least in EU) double take-home money. Easily.
