I agree that it is probably a lie. Zuckerberg has shown that he prefers Biden/Trudeau for understandable reasons (from his perspective).

However the important point is that the ranking algorithm is a very powerful and very opaque tool affecting 1B+ people and controlled by effectively 1 person who has unchallengable lifetime reign over it due to priority shares.

We need to find a way to democratise Big Tech without straight handing it over to politicians.

Breaking monopolies and mandatory interoperability is one possible step, but we may need to go beyound that.
