Wow. . not a single comment about what is the most important dispute in EU tech legal matters at the moment.
This is the consequence of the world letting China into the WTO and allowing for the recognition of the Chinese "Legal" system. A country where there is no rule of law and arbitrary decisions may be taken at any point with the codified legal rulings always toeing the party line is no place to do business on local terms.
The EU should have blocked the export of or use of all telecommunications technology by these violating companies until those restrictive conditions were taken off by Chinese courts.
China can't arbitrarily decide to lower costs in their favor as they please and issue rulings to block the companies from suing in other courts under threat of immense penalty.
