You're totally right. This article is garbage. It fails to do anything to identify the differences between ideologies or a meta framework by which we can evaluated them. It assumes all ideologies work at a group level, when emergence and applied meme theory would suggest that the individual carries the ideas (in the same way that evolution only acts on groups through the genes of individuals). Some ideologies spread parasitically, and other symbiotically, but this article makes no distinction between the two, or has any grasp of the underlying "hows" of ideology. It's pseudo intellectual clap trap for the "oh I'm so smart" person who dominates downvoting, simple coherent comments such as yours because they're not capable of identifying the simple flaws in this piece's rhetoric.
