How does it pay it's bills?

It provides a marketplace so perhaps Deta plan to take a cut of sales: https://deta.space/

We will make money via Deta Space (WIP) which helps devs scale & monetize their apps without ops and we take a small cut.

We don't sell any data. We will make money via Deta Space which helps devs scale & monetize their apps without ops and we take a small cut.

Great! Thank you for clarification.
