Gestures are nice but what I love most about Apple trackpads is everything else. Accidental input avoidance, precision along with speed, registering a click anywhere on the surface…

The gesture I care the most is smooth scrolling, which is a combination of OS graphic and input. Again, nothing smooth scrolls like the Mac or iOS

Yes! It’s the sum of all these little details that makes the Mac implementation amazing. When I started using macOS I took for granted how much work had gone into making its touchpad experience possible, because it Just Worked. Now that I’ve been nudging this Linux project forward for a couple years, I can appreciate how much long-term coordinated effort is truly required to make the touchpad experience become so smooth it’s forgettable. :)
