Why no one talks about high IQ and very homogeneous society?

Having a coehesive culture, high IQ makes a country goals easier to attain.

I don't think homogeneity is what makes Japan work. More likely it's a common identity and shared values. You can have that without everyone looking the same or having the same ancestry. Strong institutions of cultural transmission are probably far more important.

I don't know. According to Albion's Seed, America was populated from England by four different types of people with very similar ancestry (relative to the diversity of the US today). They settled in completely different regions of the country, but they still managed to drive each other crazy with cultural differences and ultimately almost ripped the country apart.

If the people had been different skin colors but agreed about slavery, there would have been less trouble. So maybe shared values are more important.

The conflicts started after people from other origins were admitted.

If the choice you're complaining about is bringing in slaves, that choice was made by the homogeneous English immigrants. So apparently homogeneity doesn't always lead to good choices. Consistently practicing the Christian values they preached might have, though. So really this is just another point for common culture > ethnic homogeneity.

The Christians were against the slave trade and fight against it.

You may be talking about the "Jesus Company" where its founder was a converso (converted) [1].

You may consider that the `the homogeneous English immigrants` were the only ones to BAN and forbid the slave trade.

Wow. Are you under the impression that Christian English settlers didn't oversee slavery in America? Are you not familiar with how they used the Bible to justify slavery? These are real basics of American history.

It is a cheap shot because the Only people to stand up against slavery and fight against slavery of Another race was these `Christian English` people.

Until they came everybody was OK with slavery.

And slavery is still practiced in some parts of Africa[1].

Slavery was common including black owned slaves[2]

Then these pesky Christian English started talking about freedom, equality, individual rights, etc.

Whole world silent and they talking about the horrors of slavery.

No one else cared about it, no one else fight for it.

If IQ is relevant at all (doubtful) I'd imagine the mean societal score would be less relevant than the bottom few percentile.

I think cultural Confucianism has more to do with it tbh.

If you shift the mean slightly the tails move disproportionately more.

East-Asians have an average IQ of 105/106 vs 100 for Europeans.

Culture is probably more relevant than average IQ in terms of factors for a working city.
