Here if you are not an ACTUAL Engineer with a Degree, on civil issues with harms you could be jailed, and your manager would suffer the same fate.

Here being an Engineer is a SERIOUS duty, you half assed software "Engineer" titles would be void upon regularizing your academic earnings. Mostly a Trade/Vocational Degree and that's it. Harsh? Human lives are a serious issue.

I also live in Europe. The term Engineer is used in many contexts outside of "what you build could kill people" contexts.

Get off your high horse.

Spaniard here. I doubt it. Maybe in the UK, but in the rest of Europe being an Engineer is not a bragging wannabe title.
