It's theater, play acting as-if the government has a magic wand to yield against the shit storm they've been brewing with poor fiscal and monetary policy.
Then they give us more policy theater like this - it'd be hard to do worse at governing than this current batch of morons. Both teams, BTW - they're all incomprehensibly awful at running things.
