At 100k in 2021 dollars, it's not worth it to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life. It's dirty money so you can't exactly use it as a down payment on a house or anything, it has limited utility. I'm amazed at how little money it costs to bribe someone, I wouldn't be remotely tempted to do something like this for less than a million.
