Specifically, instead of directly providing numbers in html, they do this УФР ж</td> which supposed to be an integer number. Apparently they have more than one way of doing that.

Where do they do that? I mean, the modern frameworks and trackers make front-end code very unreadable, but do they scramble some content?

To counter adblockers Facebook puts the text "Sponsored Ad" in multiple span, like each letter in a different one, so it's harder to blocks those posts on the timeline.

Ah, yes, you're right. I remember having done some temporary workaround, but it ceased to work since then.

Facebook does this on the post dates as well and elsewhere.
