I won't hire smokers, because they aren't smart enough to work for me.

It's just one of many of my own custom list of red flags that I use for deciding who I want to associate with/hire/interact with.

But seriously, your attitude is myopic and rotten.

I don't think accepting a personal choice that has an eyes-open false negative rate qualifies as "myopic".

I simply don't suffer fools, and taking your psychoactives (which are fine) with unnecessary combustion byproducts (which aren't fine, for you or anyone in earshot) is extremely foolish.

Don't tell anybody about this in your life- this is seriously embarrassing.

I hope your potential employees are also smart enough to avoid working for people who ask inappropriate personal questions.

Good thing that it is ok to lie when asked this question in a job interview, at least in Germany (because it's inadmissible to ask the candidate questions about leisure activities).

I also don't generally hire FTEs in Europe, because the labor laws there are crazy.

I have nothing against nicotine or functional addictions!

(just against those that would unnecessarily inhale combustion byproducts vs just vaping)
