It's a term I've seen elsewhere. I think the term mostly contrasts to "GitOps" (every action driven by hooking onto Git repositories). I don't think the terms are too self-congratulating.

I worked on a team which made use of a chatbot which more/less was a handier way of running Jenkins jobs for releasing. Release progress got updated as messages back to the chat. Was quite neat.
