Wouldn’t outputting amd64 instructions and jumping to it create a shorter interpreter?

amd64 instructions generally have longer encodings due to having to encode prefixes and 64-bit addresses.

sure, it can be x86 as well, right now the program outputs C code, I just thought that compiling to byte code would be more fun
