Not surprising. Compare a car from 1996 and 2008 and today. The 2008. one will have bells and whistles closer to one from today, while the 1996 will look much older comparing to 2008. Also the one from 2008 will have enough electronics and power supply integrated so it can be easily upgraded with a camera or additional sensors. Maybe not lane assist, but a nice infotainment for sure and a multifunction steering wheel just with a YouTube tutorial. Ride comfort is also comparable to 2021.
