I'm not sure, it's a WYSIWYG editor for LaTeX? How does it compare with Scientific Works? Does it save the results as LaTeX files? Which packages does it support?

PS: Here in Argentina is usual to write

  $\sin^2 x + \cos^2 x = 1$

instead of

  $\sin x^2+ \cos x^2 = 1$
