I haven't done a bayesian analysis, but here's a theorem: if a computer nerd identifies themself as a woman on the internet, it's equally likely that they are trans or cis.
Imagine writing a technical blogpost like this only to have people in the comments wanting to discuss your gender. It's insulting and off-topic.
And before they cry that gender was mentioned in the title: that's just a phrase, and no one would have said anything if it said "one-man" company.
I appreciate your sentiment, but "only" is not accurate. Most comments have been remarkably positive; the rest come with the territory of a large, public internet forum. The community has acquitted itself well in terms of downvoting and flagging those.
