It sure claims to frown on it... except for when it insists on it for some silly reason or other, and (at least to me) this sounds no less silly than any of the other previous silly reasons Hacker News has used to defend its inconsistent application of its impossible-anyway (as titles change over time, don't always exist in the first place, are sometimes context-dependent, or might be non-applicable as the link is to a paragraph or sentence) title guideline concept.
