My (more general) hypothesis was that OP is posting under pseudonym because their actual business is something that wouldn’t be considered particularly virtuous on HN.
Discrediting a competitor would certainly fit that idea.
(Although the idea of finding engagement only on one platform at first doesn’t seem far-fetched to me at all.)
I posted the name of the service we used so that other people don't suffer the same fate we did.
We are in the fitness business, so no interest in getting in any kind of marketing tool war.
