9.9.9.9 is supposed to have a filter against malware, phishing and exploit websites. That’s supposed to be its unique selling point.
I understand that, but similarly to cloudflare/nextdns they could just provide unfiltered anycast service (with DNSSEC).
Because that's a combination of features that less than a hundred-thousandth of a percent of users have ever expressed an interest in. And we don't have infinite resources.
