Agreed and I think what consumers should do is vote with their wallets and attention:

- Cancel NYT subscriptions

- Subscribe to independent journalists and writers on Substack or via other means

- Flag NYT articles

I subscribed to Glenn Greenwald the day he left The Intercept. I don’t really read his writings nor do I necessarily agree with what he say to say all the time. But, I really like the idea of supporting individual journalists with $. Hopefully others can see Glenn’s success in this model and try it out themselves.
