It would be cheap enough. And would make a lot of sense on paper but this feels more like a yahoo buy and run into the ground kind of play if yahoo still existed. This doesn't give facebook what it wants.. a new platform with younger minds to lockin. vsco.co seems like a better bet as an instagram buy. Surprised they didn't make a play for tiktok but they seem to want more messaging platforms connecting people.

If that happens we may as well just hand over control of the internet to Facebook. Why even pretend anymore?

It's probably too much of a hassle. I would imagine FB is not focused on getting more anti trust scrutiny.

They're already in FTC's sights. The change in administration makes that more complicated, but not even a Biden nominee would be able to reign in the lawyers if FB did that.
