Almost all JVM, mix of Java and Kotlin. https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community

Does Apple ship an optimized JVM or is this under Rosetta?

My mac did not come with a working native JDK, I had to install the Azul one built for M1.

JetBrains ships a custom JVM that their IDEs run on.
