Right. If you look at the distribution of savings [0] you realize very few people are in a strong finical position.

Savings account (which is measured in that link) is different than savings. It wouldn't account for money in a checking account or other investments.

Holding sbustnaitail money in a savings account is pretty dumb with interest rates being so low for at least the last entire generation.

Though I suspect net worth and retirement savings are still pretty low.
