What's with all these downvotes? If you don't agree - comment, instead of downvoting. The post is not off-topic. Downvoting for disagreement is trolling, especially on HN where it triggers comments throttling which basically turns it into mob censorship.

UPDATE: really immature and cowardly reaction to criticism of trolling I see (i.e. downvotes to this comment ;))

View on HN

"Please don't comment about the voting on comments. It never does any good, and it makes boring reading."

Which effectively translates to, "Stop resisting! Assimilate! Tell me how many lights you see!"

Some people here have yet to learn that HN is not a forum for free, open-minded discussion.

Mob censorship here is really surprising. But when the system is conductive for it, it's even worse. It's basically built to silence any dissenting views, because hordes of click trolls downvote such comments and nothing stops them.
