Webview looks like an interesting project. I feel lost people's complaints with Electron apps from from memory usage / JavaScript performance though, which it doesn't look like it would improve significantly.
Webview is okay for most apps to be honest. Performance isn't that snappy, but for many apps like Markdown readers and stuff, its great. Now I do support Electron that push web technologies to the limit. e.g. Signal, Skype, VS Code etc.
