This is a highjacked name so Econ people feel like they are worth something. Can we please stop calling it that?
One can't just slap Mercedes logo on your car and start selling 'Mercedes cars'.
True, there is no Nobel Prize in Economics. That said, the Nobel Prize website has a page dedicated to it, it is listed right under the Peace Prize in their main navigation, and the winners are included in the "597 Nobel prizes" in their "Quick facts" section.
If the Nobel Committee doesn't care about making a difference, and is for all practical purposes a Nobel Prize with the clear endorsement of the Nobel Committee, what else is there to say?

Swedish media in general will say "The winners of the Sverige Riksbank price in Economic science in memory of Alfred Nobel" (or just "the prize in economics).
