EDIT: oh, and the author has a proper website... What kind of brain damage does one have to suffer to keep choosing Twitter for long-form writing?

Particularly Foone has ADHD, if I'm not mistaking the specifics. And posted about it being the reason for the choice of the choppy-form (just so it's clear I'm not spilling beans).
But frankly, Twitter is sorta alright because authors' efforts still tend to be less long-winded when paragraphs of two hundred words don't quite work. I'm really tired of verbose yada-yada from HN, so finding myself actually attracted to links to Twitter—even though it's a hot mess in most other aspects.
Also, ADHD is not "brain damage".
(asterisk)and everything else, in my opinion
edit: I'm too tired to fight hn markdown right now.
A. Post on Facebook first (which allows longer text) and then use Twitter to re-post content.
B. Write in Word/Notepad/whatever, take a screenshot and post that.
I find both methods much cleaner and easier to follow than a series of tweets.
I hate Twitter threads too. I think this site does a nice job of pulling them together, and looks cleaner than nitter since it doesn't make each tweet look separate.
