Rather, as another commenter put it, "Pointing out silliness doesn't indicate insensitivity."
My blog post is quite proudly poking fun at the sanctimonious virtue signalling, as I see it, in the gesture of renaming the 'master' branch. Following GitHub's example, we'll have to do away with Master's degrees, MasterCards, Master Chef, and even the game MasterMind, to say nothing of the D&D Dungeon Master.
If you want to talk about real racism and discrimination in society, I'm all for it. I'd like to see a world in which skin color matters as much as hair color. And if you do, too, you should be doing more productive things with your time than looking up my Internet footprint, stalking me, and trying to get me cancelled.
Calling something "silly" that may not impact you but could have a greater impact on others is insensitive. It so insensitive that you'd have to conceal your identify, or hide your opinion when not voicing your opinion on the Internet to avoid backlash and becoming untouchable to (some/more/most/all) employers. I don't understand the gain, other than dog whistling.
