While all this is true, you hit the "not caring" stage well before 10gig. I have a reliable 100 Mbps connection at the moment and do almost everything mentioned above (simultaneously) with zero disruption. Almost every internet problem people have is due to latency, jitter and general unreliability rather than bandwidth.
