One of the enlightening aspects of the reporting here in the UK has been the contrast between the hand-wringing over minorities apparently dying in excessive numbers, whilst the fact that disproportionate numbers of men are dying barely warrants mention (save for the occasional article blaming this on men themselves).

No agenda there whatsoever, of course.
