Even so, Qt has a hell of a lot less of a footprint than Electron.

I'm pretty sure it can (and might by default) use native controls on macOS, and I've heard of that possibility on other platforms as well, but I'm not sure how far that's gotten.

But it cannot just use native controls all the time as it generally supports more features than what is available on a given platform, so there has to be a kind of emulation.

AFAIK it's possible to use native controls too with Qt these days. I don't know if this project is doing so (probably not).
