Yes, that's pretty impressive. Instead of just using foldr, you've reimplemented it, and don't even know that! We also have no idea whether this code we've stumbled into is equivalent to foldr in terms of performance. If I knew you write code like this, I would feel compelled during code review to squeeze my brain to try to see whether there is some library function that does what you just did.
Also, it's absurd to claim that these implementations are the only possible ones and that they are correct, when all you have is the pretty weak type system of base Haskell (even though it is probably the strongest type system in regular use!).
Sure, for a->a there is a single possible implementation, but as soon as you have a list, for example, among your parameters, there are now arbitrarily many possible implementations, which differ either in meaning or in performance characteristics.
