You've drank way to much American Kool-aid.

Many European countries are more democratic than the US with its first-past-the-post discarding votes, precise gerrymandering ensuring that the right party wins, the Electoral College system creating a ridiculous focus on just a few "swing" states and making people president despite getting less votes than the other candidate, basically unrestricted corruption through campaign donations, elegantly called "lobbying", etc.
