Seems like the Green New Deal (since they mention it in the article) is more about socialism than not the environment..?

The Green New Deal is about the economy because FDR's New Deal was about it too and industry (that appeared with the industrial revolution) is what's responsible for current problems. Restructuring that industry and keeping it in check is key for our good.
