Yeah I'm calling BS on this. I climb a lot, after getting back from Bishop almost all of the skin on my pads sloughed off. It peeled off in big patches. iPhone home button recognition was unaffected.

Might I add that, no one cares that you climb. Really, no one. This should be told to all new climbers. You are not cool because you like to crawl up a hardened dirt wall, and go back down.
