On desktop, I just hit esc to stop the page loading after it'd loaded the text, but before all the paywalling had loaded.

the whole article is inside the page, only hidden by a <div>

Use the source, ctrl-f and search for "background: linear-gradient(rgba(255, 255, 255, 0)" and delete the whole div that contains it.

You are welcome.

NoScript worked for me.

Worked instantly on iPhone safari with a content blocker. Was surprised to see someone write paywall, because didn’t think my setup would block one.

Cool, what content blocker are you using? Mine didn’t help (crystal)

Not who you were asking but I use AdGuard and had no problems with the article. Works pretty well.

thanks! will give it a try :)

Sorry about late response, but I’m using 1Blocker Legacy (free).

It seems to be quite good.

No worries mate :) thanks for your reply, I’ll check it out.

reader mode! activate!!

i have a question: would it be illegal for me or anyone else to access it, copy and paste it somewhere else? this sucks

Its copyright infringement but as usual, nothing will happen if you did copy and paste it.

IANAL but I think so
