Yes, Zio is really interesting. Unfortunately, its author has been recently outed from the community for political reasons (and there is too much drama in Scala community in general). I only hope that the dust will settle someday.

Just wait to see where it will take Kotlin with its Scala refugees.

The people making this library aren't Scala refugees - they're a Scala shop that uses Kotlin on Android only, so they decided to bring over their idioms.

Stand corrected, but doesn't change the fact of what is coming to Kotlin as well.
