If it bubbles up to their attention it would be pretty routine:

* A cease and desist form letter to the author

and

* A DMCA Takedown Notice to Github to remove the repository

"It's-a me, DMCA!" springs to mind.

Nintendo doesn't really understand the concept of fan works yet. most corporations would love to have this sort of loyalty.

Maybe I shouldn't have voted this up. :/
