so what's the proper way to upgrade from version: 60.8.0 (64-bit)?

The release notes state that the next release (68.1) will be an update from previous versions. 68.0 stands on its own.

Kind of an interesting way to do it but I suppose it lets the most eager folks dip their toes. Sounds like you're better off waiting for 68.1.

Precisely. We wouldn't want to dump a .0 version on 25 million people - better to get feedback first from a couple hundred thousand.

Be wary - my boss is quite upset that this latest version seems to have broken a number of his plugins.

Yeah, this has to do with them phasing out the old extensions. They are trying to shift over to web extensions completely. It's not quite done yet though.

i installed the new version (while retaining the old version 60.8) on my mac, but none of the accounts / settings / etc. have been transferred over. Trying to figure out how to export and import into new version but have not found out how so far

It probably picked the wrong profile. Start with -P switch and pick your default profile. All better?

I upgraded from 60.8 to 68 on Windows and it works fine thus far.
