“Yes, adding a backdoor increases our collective security because it allows law enforcement to eavesdrop on the bad guys.“ No it does not. By definition if the backdoor exists the bad guys won’t use it. This is clearly an excuse for monitoring all people not just the bad guys, and has little to do with security and everything to do with control. Please stop accepting the argument that collective security is improved with eavesdropping, it really really isn’t.
