Man why would they do that?

Manipulating the text like that seems like a minimal anesthetic gain for a lot of headaches.

I copied a thing. I want it to be that thing. I'll deal with the thing myself if it isn't ideal.

Is there a "paste without dorking it up" option?

Personally, I'm taking the "use firefox" option.

Yeah i'm planning on that for a variety of reasons.

Security reasons, obviously. Can't have those poor, gullible "users" copy-pasting malicious code into the developer console, now can we?
