I've felt this too. During my learning phase with the Arduino, I had hastily bought a bunch of sensors and random pieces of hardware with some ideas but no cohesive plan of what I was going to do with it all. After a stint at my college's robotics club, I had a much better idea of how everything worked but I felt drained of the vague and exciting ideas which made me buy all the hardware in the first place.
