Good news, you can find Inside Macintosh online (via Google) and in https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/ma... (Macintosh Toolbox Essentials) it lists the key codes graphically on page 2-42 and 2-43. There's also https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/ma... (More Macintosh Toolbox) and https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/ma... (Imaging with QuickDraw). Not that I'm suggesting this solves the problem -- I still had to use Google to find these, and outside of WWDC, I've yet to see Apple publish developer documentation as nice as this from the early 90s, or the WebObjects guides from the early 2000s (that you can also still find online). Maybe the Swift manual from https://docs.swift.org/swift-book/ (and in Apple Books store) or the CarPlay guide? https://developer.apple.com/carplay/documentation/CarPlay-Na... I do kind of miss when guides were more complete, such as the Automator Programming Guide http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.693... (It appears it was removed in 2016 from developer.apple.com)
