This was in no way unreasonable. If you were looking for people who were Asian you would focus more on last names of Li, Park Ajinomori rather than Berkowitz or Adams.

But they're looking for illegal immigrants, not Latinos. There's a certain amount of overlap between the groups, but they are not the same set.

They're supposed to be looking for illegal immigrants, but that doesn't mean that's what they are doing.

What were they doing then? I would love to hear your theory.

There is a greater mathematical correlation between Latino surnames and illegal aliens who are staying in Motel 6's than there is between say, Japanese surnames and illegal aliens staying in Motel 6's. Do you deny this?
