Author clearly has never lived anywhere but CA, perhaps ever left the bay area. Its interesting because alot of people that have never left have this same mindset, that Cali is this epicenter of all things good, and somehow the best overall place to live. How anyone could think this, not sure, unless they just have never lived anywhere else or are that uneducated as to the state of the government in California, or are filthy loaded. What I saw from my time living in San Diego was a culture highly consumed with itself, people stuck on eachother, crazy high cost of living, and insane taxes that hardly made it justifiable. It has a beach, and much like florida, if it didnt have one nobody would live there.
