The problem is partly caused by the medical establishment failing at their job and a healthy dose of hubris, followed by a campaign to shame people into submission. Now that shaming has failed (as shaming people into submission historically has), they're deploying soft power, in the form of censoring these people.
I have trouble as seeing this as anything but a disaster: Google has validated the claims of anti-vaxxers.
There's just no way to cut it besides that anti-vaxxers are right -- the medical establishment doesn't really have an answer, and is prepared to use force rather than debate the topic. This is evidence for the anti-vaxxer's longstanding claim that medicine was wrong, knew it, and was perpetuating a cover-up. They've just been censored by one of the largest corporations on the planet.
Setting aside if you care about speech, if you care about children and rigorous medicine, rather than enabling the egotism and cargo-culting of the medical profession, this is bad.
