HDNL are brilliant. I ordered something from Amazon last week and wasn't in when it was delivered. A card was duly popped through my letterbox to say the item had been left in a "safe place" - my grey wheelie bin, on bin collection day...
As others have mentioned, the really annoying thing here was that I was working from home at the time and they didn't ring the bell. Surely it's less effort to ring the doorbell than it is to write out a card?
