Not quite sure how I feel about this being summarily ripped down from the front page, especially given the contents of the article. Was this removed based on the title alone?
I'm not sure what you mean by “summarily”? Users flagged the post. We've turned them off since the discussion hasn't entered flamewar territory yet.
It's still a political piece, in that it tracks the disillusionment of Republican politician in ways which Democrats would appreciate. That fits with my own political sensibilities, but I can easily imagine why others might not appreciate it. Would an article about a disillusioned Democratic politician embracing Republican ideas feel the same?
