Oh I think it is incredibly useful to warn people who are new to programming, to stay the fuck away from PHP. Even though it is incredibly broken, it is hard for people new to programming to see it. Heck it is even hard for people who are only programming in php, even for a decade. Also the widespread use of Php could be mistakenly interpreted as a sign of its quality.

So I guess, comments that warn against php very strongly, are a hell lot more valuable than ones that maintain a neutral stance.
